9-1 Math Nov.1st to Nov. 18th

We have finished our Chapter 3 text studies on Rational numbers.

Students got back their A-1 outcomes test ( /25 marks) and entered them on their tracking sheets.

Our A-1 and A-2 outcomes test is Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 2nd and 4th (Take your Kid to Work day is on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd so that comes in between!

A-2 outcomes are adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and integers.

Students have had many practice sessions and review opportunities (see the last 9-1 blog for all the text review suggestions).  Answer keys for in class handouts are available here (link to come later).

On Thursday, Nov. 4th, most students will finish off their A-1 & A-2 Unit test on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational numbers (decimals, fractions and integers).  When you are done, you will complete an exponent intro sheet for me to see where you are at with exponent understanding and then watch some videos about exponents on Discovery Education (click under my assigned material in the STUDENT CENTRE!).  You will need headphones!
