1) PARTICIPACTION DAY is February 19, 2016 (it is a Friday). Students have a form for you to fill out that looks like this (see the picture below). Please sign in TWO places and return with your student.  The school will be open from 7:00 a.m. for signing up in the GYM.  They should bring a book or homework to work in the library or halls after they sign up.

Grade 9's: 7:00 - 8:30 am on

Grade 8's: 7:00 - 8:30 am on Wednesday, November 25th.

Grade 7's: 7:00 - 8:30 am on
Thursday, November 26th.

As activities fill up, students will hear announcements during the school day so they can adjust their plans and talk to their friends.

2) ACADIA MOVIE MORNING is Friday, December 18th. I teach a grade 9 homeroom and our movie permission form looks like this (see the picture below). Please sign and indicate whether your child has medical concerns or allergies so I am able to watch out for them on the morning we take a bus to Kildonan Place theatres and watch an age appropriate movie together.

Costs are covered by the school for the transportation and the movie already, but if your child would like a snack package, they should read the attached info and bring cash if a snack is desired to their homeroom teacher before Dec. 3rd please.

Spirit week is Monday December 14th at lunch through Friday, December 18th.  Every day will have a theme for dressing up and an activity in the gym at lunch available to play by $1.00 donation to our designated school charities (One Big Day for Christmas, Winnipeg Harvest, etc.). Points are collected for dressing up and participating at lunch EVERY DAY that week. It is a GRADE versus GRADE challenge for the most Acadian School Spirit!

Report Cards will be available for term 1 on or around Friday December 18th barring no technology issues! Please feel free to contact me about your Acadian student if you have any concerns before then.
