Come up with 4 points by Monday, Sept. 27th to share with a partner in class. You can come up with more and fill your page with what other "experts" say RATIONAL numbers are. :-)
Hey 9-1. Welcome back to school. So far, we have briefly looked at :
a) families of squares (& square roots)
b) perfect square numbers
c) page 2 & 3 of your textbook
d) Page 11, 12 #4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 13, 14
e) Practice sheets #1, #2 for square roots (perfect & non-perfect) corrected in class
Please make sure you have your course yellow tracking sheets in the front of your math binder, followed by your The Real ME (multiple intelligences inventory), your family of squares notes & sketches, and your problem solving EFFORT chart.
On Tuesday, Sept. 14th, we spent 2 periods in the library doing the following:
a) signing up for homework online updates from Mrs. Snyder's homework online page (click on NOTIFY ME)
b) going to the blog and making an introductory comment under the post for 9-1 this week
c) completing the beginning of the year survey at this link Click here to take the 9-1 Homeroom survey!
d) starting a wiki page for grade 9 math and linking it on Mrs. Snyder's 9-1 Homeroom & Math page at this link
Sign in with your user name and password given by Mrs. Snyder. Type in that user name and password into your DATABASES file saved in your My Documents from last year.
Create a page named by your initials and 9-1 like this: I would be ss9-1. Write 10 perfect square numbers that you know on that page. Paste a link on the 9-1 wiki homepage that links to your page and maybe comment on a classmate's numbers if you have time.
Wow, that was a lot for one day. Now I feel that we are digitally linked. :-)
