8-4 & 8-7 Math Sept. 27 - October.8

We are DONE working with the geoboards and figuring out what types of triangles exist.

Here is a picture of what our class came up with.

We are working on:
a) pythagoras question booklet in our binders  (first 20 pages only!!!!)

b) assignments from your math textbook (use it online)  
*We have checked & completed   Pg. 8,9 #, 1, (2, 3,see below for answers) 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 15, 18

***Assignment from Monday, Sept. 27th 

Pg. 15/16 #9, 11, 13, 19 and 22   Go over using the answers in the back of your booklet Tuesday, Oct. 5th (in the afternoon)

*****The next assignment in the textbook that will be homework checked is
:  Page 25 # 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 16, 23 checked on Tuesday, October 5th in class.

*****Finish for Thursday, October 7th in class......Practice using asquared + b squared = c squared on PAGE 7 & 9 of your math booklet handouts.
*****Do page 29 with your calculator to make sure you know how to use the square root button.



We will use DISCOVERY EDUCATION to view some videos about how to use the pythagorean theorem
Your username/password should be saved in your MY DOCUMENTS.
We'll use our classes on Wednesday & Thursday, Oct. 6 &7th for this!

Before our unit test on Square Roots and the Pythagorean Theorem, please check over page 54 the UNIT REVIEW and look at the 3 main concepts from the unit. 

Also, try pages 54, 55, 56, 57 # 1 - 27, as you need to practice your skills before the unit test (the answers are on page 499 in the back).

Finally, try the PRACTICE TEST on pages 58-59 #1-10 (answers on page 499) ANY night you don't have homework already.  Come see me when you have any questions about what is going on in math!  :-)
