We finished up adding and subtracting rationals last week and had an in class 5 question assessment.
Check that over with Mrs. S, Mrs. B or Mr. B in class this week please! Oct. 18- Oct. 21.
3.4 - talks about MULTIPLYING rational numbers
Study your notes from MULTIPLYING RATIONALS
We talked about decimals on Oct. 18th in the morning and fractions in the afternoon. It was a multiplication PARTY/shindig/hoedown/gathering. Yeah-yea! Try your hand at the PARTY of MULTIPLICATION worksheet that we did in class (it was a real hoe-down, a shindig if you will).
Monday, Oct. 18th......Assignment Pages 127-129 #3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17 *work on it in class on Tues, Oct. 19th
3.5 - talks about DIVIDING rational numbers
Study your notes from DIVIDING RATIONALS
Here is the handout from class about the introduction to dividing decimals
Assignment Pages 134-136 #3 to 13 inclusive, 17, 18, 21
I reccommend doing the mid-unit review questions on page 121 #1-10 all (Answers on page 483) when you are done everything as review before a quiz or test.
Before the unit test, it would be good to do the review on pages 144-145 #all (but do every 2nd letter in each question starting with a) then c) then e), etc. so you don't overdo your practice!) The answers are on page485/486.
There is also a PRACTICE TEST on page 146 #1-7, with the answer key on page 486, that would be a good review when you are done 3.1 to 3.6 in your text before the Unit Test!
Expect the unit test on Tuesday, Nov. 2nd and Thursday, Nov. 4th! Take your Kid to Work Day is Wednesday, Nov. 3rd....enjoy your day at a workplace!
